Prior to coming to Iowa, Dr. Williamson was in private practice in the Nebraska cities of Lincoln and Plattsmouth. She joined the Department of Endodontics as a clinical instructor in 2003.
Dr. Williamson is currently involved with predoctoral teaching in the sophomore laboratory and junior clinic and is the director of the graduate endodontic program. She is also a facilitator for the second-year case-based learning courses and the first-year problem-based learning courses.
Dr. Williamson participates in the faculty practice in the Department of Endodontics.
Dr. Williamson is a member of the American Association of Endodontics (AAE), the American Dental Association, the Nebraska Dental Association, the Lincoln District Dental Association, and the American Dental Education Association. She is past-chair of the Endodontic Section of ADEA. past chair of the AAE Educational Affairs Committee, immediate past general chair of the AAE Annual Session Planning Committee, current chair of the AAE Site Selection Committee, and secretary of the American Association of Endodontists Foundation. Additionally, she serves as a site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation for the ADA.
